I am sarcastic and kind
I wonder why some people are so stupid
I hear her amazing laugh
I see her beautiful smile
I want this to last forever
I am sarcastic and kind
I pretend that my feelings don't get hurt
I feel fulfilled by her life
I touch her sweet soft skin
I worry what will happen when we're gone
I cry when a soul passes on
I am sarcastic and kind
I understand she's what it's all about
I say to enjoy every moment like it's your last
I dream that my hair wasn't so gray
I try to stay positive
I hope all of her dreams come true
I am sarcastic and kind
I wonder why some people are so stupid
I hear her amazing laugh
I see her beautiful smile
I want this to last forever
I am sarcastic and kind
I pretend that my feelings don't get hurt
I feel fulfilled by her life
I touch her sweet soft skin
I worry what will happen when we're gone
I cry when a soul passes on
I am sarcastic and kind
I understand she's what it's all about
I say to enjoy every moment like it's your last
I dream that my hair wasn't so gray
I try to stay positive
I hope all of her dreams come true
I am sarcastic and kind
Like your poem!
ReplyDeleteGreat poem! I love that it's focused mostly on your daughter and your relationship with her. My "I am" poem is all over the place.
ReplyDeleteI hope she sees this when she is older :)
ReplyDeleteI love that you included your daughter in a poem about you. If you're anything like me, your heart beats with her breath! I love being a mother. I also wonder not only why but HOW people are so stupid :D
ReplyDeleteLove this. Sarcasm is underrated, in my book!
