TILTW: 1.19-1.25.13

* Three is a really awesome age so far, but also very, very trying at times (bed times, morning times, getting dressed times, when I blink wrong times...). Oy vey.

* I still hate potty training and have admitted to being jealous of those of you with potty trained kids. You can read more about that here.

* Hospice is now coming to my grandmother's house.

* My kid is THE cutest Tiny Dancer.

* Yo Gabba Gabba is so much fun live. I mean, so much fun. Wow. I know a lot of parents aren't keen on "kid music" and stuff, but YGG should be an exception. Really.

* I desperately need to break up with M&M's.

* Lovie's hair keeps some length after a couple of days of it being in twists. Fun! :)

well... Poop! or, maybe not.

I haven't talked much about this here.

Not sure why, really.

Maybe I didn't want to admit to being a failure...

...at potty training.

But it is what it is and right now Lovie, who just turned 3 end of December, is still not potty trained.

Oh we've tried. And tried.

We've got books and a potty chair. We've got charts, stickers, and M&M's. We've got a drawer full of undies.

But, as of today, she's still not trained and nowhere near being trained.

Lovie is Child of the Month at school so I was just going through pictures to bring in for them to put up on the bulletin board... I just quickly went through my mobile uploads to Facebook this past year. Girlfriend has changed so much.

I suppose when set up like this it's not so noticeable but going through them one by one? Whoa. Her little chubby cheeks when sucking the frosting off her finger in her 2nd birthday photo compared to now? She's a little girl. Truly.

I really love December. It's so busy, but it's so much fun with a kid in tow.

I'm excited because this year I'm finally into giving more again. I've always enjoyed giving to others more than receiving (gifts, people/pervs, gifts), but for a while I was just so tired of coming up with stuff to give. I don't have the funds to give real gift-gifts, so I generally just make stuff. But that was hard the past several years. This year, however, I've already made some Christmas Crack, Pretzel Buttons, and Cake Batter Cookies all of which I will be making more of to package and give to Lovie's teachers, friends, some family, coworkers, neighbors. It makes me giddy to be able to give this shiz away.

My dad is finally comprehending that sometimes people might not have a good reaction to things he just "has" to say. Will it stop him from opening his mouth so much in the future? Uh, no. The man is 79 and very much stuck in his ways.
