Lovie's a good patient for the doctor at age 3. Much better than at 2 when she was stuck to me like Velcro. She weighs 31 pounds and is 37 inches tall (39 if you add her hair, heh).

Lovie starts ballet tomorrow. Ballet. My little lovebug. In a leotard, tights, and of course, ballet slippers. She's so excited. Especially about the slippers. And the ballet.

Speaking of ballet slippers, don't get the ones sold at Target or Walmart with the tights and leotards they have set up to make it seem like it's all legit stuff needed for dance class. Those slippers are SLIPPERS. Like for the house. Get the kid real ballet slippers so people don't laugh at you both. Fortunately I made this realization before it was too late and ordered a pair of real ballet slippers from AllAboutDance (free shipping on all US orders, yo!).

Playing hookie

Lovie had her 9 month checkup yesterday and she's looking great, thankfully.

weight is 50 percentile- average: 19.3 pounds
height is 75th percentile- long still: 28.5 inches!!
head is 75th percentile, too: 44.5cm

She's crawling, pulling up to stand, cruising like mad, standing without holding onto stuff, pushing a toy and walking with it, thinking about walking (I swear I can see her mind thinking about just going for it at times); she's eating table food and pretty much ditched the baby food; she's wearing 12 month and 12-18 month clothes (her feet are still very tiny though); she drinks water from sippy cup like a pro...

Blah Blah my kid is awesome blah blah.
 
After the appointment, we went to the pumpkin farm because it was beautiful out and a weekday (both the hubs and I take off when she has her appointments- it does a family good to spend a day during the workweek together occasionally).
 
 

I didn't want to ruin the pictures with my "watermark" so I made them smaller- regardless, do NOT steal, please. I took the last one with my cellphone believe it or not.

God I love Fall. Crisp air, vivid colors, and snuggling with my Lovie.

Show Off

Finally had Lovie's 6 month appointment today (2 weeks after the big milestone):

Doc called her a show off because of her sitting (like a pro for a month now), because she's done blowing raspberries (that's *so* 4 months!) and is now doing consonants. :) 

She was a champ with the shots- cried a tad with the second shot and that's all she wrote. She's napping now.

She's in the 75th percentile for everything:

26.5 inches
17.4 pounds
size 3 diapers
size 6-9 month clothes
100% special, adored, loved
(never remember the head circumference- but it, too, is 75th%)
